U-POL B Glass Fibre Bridging Compound is a robust polyester filler reinforced with glass fibres, ideal for bridging holes and rust in steel and GRP surfaces. Once cured, it can be easily shaped and sanded, providing a durable base for further finishing.

Key Features:

• Excellent Gap Filling Properties: Effectively bridges holes and rust in various substrates.

• Water Resistant When Fully Cured: Suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

• Easy to Cover with Standard Polyester Filler: Allows for seamless integration with other fillers.

• Mixing Ratio: 5% BPO Hardener at 10°C, 4% at 20°C, and 3% at 30°C.

• Gel Time: 6–7 minutes at 10°C, 4–6 minutes at 20°C, and 4 minutes at 30°C.

• Sandable After: 20 minutes at 10°C, 15–20 minutes at 20°C, and 15 minutes at 30°C.

• Maximum Fill Depth: 4–7 mm.

• Sanding: Initial sanding with P80–P120, final sanding with P180–P240.

• Over-Painting: Once cured apply primer and paint as required.

Application Guide:

1. Surface Preparation: Clean and degrease the surface using Panel Wipe. Abrade the surface with appropriate grit paper (P80 for bare steel, P180 for original paint, and P180 for GRP). Re-clean and dry the surface.

2. Mixing: Thoroughly mix the filler with the BPO Hardener according to the specified ratios.

3. Application: Apply the mixed compound to the prepared surface using a pressing action to reduce air entrapment.

4. Curing: Allow the filler to cure as per the specified times.

5. Sanding: Once cured, sand the filler as per the specified grits to achieve a smooth surface.
